Buffet style dining can also help you utilize your home more efficiently, as you can use your kitchen for a serving area and leave your living and/or dining room free for mingling.  

Be Flexible About Seating 

A liberal seating policy factors nicely into a buffet-style Thanksgiving spread. After procuring foods, your guests can find open seating throughout your home, whether that’s on a couch, recliner, or kitchen chair. If your home currently lacks enough seating to accommodate the number of guests you expect, consider picking up a few inexpensive folding chairs just to be safe.  

Have a “Spill Station” at the Ready 

Food and beverage spills are all part of hosting a holiday gathering, especially when space is limited. In this case, it helps to have an all-purpose cleaner and paper towels on standby in the event of a spill. That way, you won’t need to go rooting through cabinets and closets in search of cleaning materials.
